Your Picture

You will find that it is very common to be asked to send your picture when it comes to getting a teaching English job in Korea. Since your employer and I Love ESL Ltd. are not able to have a personal interview with you, your application form, a picture of yourself and the telephone interview are the only tools we have to assess whether you are the right person we are looking for.

When you provide either the Korean employer or the Provincial Offices of Education with your recent photo, it should look professional. We advise you to submit a photo similar to a passport photo when the initial application form is submitted electronically for the purposes of the interview. If you do not have time to take one, at least a shoulder and head shot is recommended. Applicants must be aware that their photos are very important to employers in Korea as this is the first impression they will get of them. Photos should represent how one would look if one were actually going in for a job interview.
