(Letter 1)
John,
I appreciate the e-mail. I am having a great time here and I appreciate everything you did for me and for allowing me this awesome experience. The people here are great and they make me feel comfortable when I am so far from home. The school is absolutely great. They treat me very well and they are all great people. Teaching the children is so fun and rewarding. I have never taught before and the school gave me great training and I find it one of the best jobs I ever had.
(Letter 2)
I was warned about being around people that were "Korean bashers" as they
will make the experience here less than what it should be. I have also acquainted myself
with the Irish girl from the school. She and her boyfriend live in the next apartment and they are very great people to be around. Also, I wanted to mention to you that I had
recommended to a friend (Ryan Connors) that he should be touch with you about coming over here. He said he had contacted you and he was in the midst of signing a contract with D in Daegue. He is highly recommended by me. I went to high school and university together. He also trained me at a job in high school at McDonald's.
He is very nice and would be an asset to a school here. He is respectful and kind. I would very much appreciate his company in this city and throughout the rest of my experience here in
regret at all setting him up with a job here.
I have adjusted well to life in
myself taking long walks around the city enjoying all the food and little shops. I have met many foreign teachers here. My Irish friends have many connections here and they have introduced me to many people from all over the world. There are many Canadians here as well. I was trained by a guy from
stayed in touch. There is also another Canadian that lives in my building and we get along great. I have met a few Korean people as well. They are very kind and have a great concern for my well-being here. As you said, the Korean girls are absolutely beautiful and very nice. I am slowly learning a bit of the Korean language. It's very challenging but I enjoy the challenge.
Again, thank you for everything Feel free to get back
to me at any time concerning anything.
Thanks.
Jeff
