Hi John

This is Karen C. from Mokpo teaching at Song Language Institute.

My year is up at the end of April and I will be coming back to Canada for the summer.

As you may not remember I also taught at the Mokpo National Maritime University last year and did very well. My picture has been used on their official website and in their advertising brochure.

I may decide to return to Korea in the fall of 2004 if I can get a really good teaching job at a University in Seoul. It would have to be a good university - I know there are several women's colleges there.  I would teach the semester and come back to Canada in between.

I will have a great recommendation from my boss here at the Institute - Mr Song and the university.

Can you look into this for me?  I know it is early yet but you may know of some of the Seoul universities and I know there are always looking for experienced teachers.

Hi John, Thanks for the quick note. Korea is turning out to be a great experience. The school is very good and the owner is excellent. I am also now teaching at the Mokpo National Maritime University in the moorings. I have 300 students. This is in addition to my regular hours at the school, so I am very busy. Almost 5 months have passed since I first came here so the time is flying by. Hope your recruiting is going well. Bye for now.

Sorry I did not get back to you earlier but I have been busy settling in and teaching right away.

Mr. Song Young-chul's school is very good. Everything that I was told is true! I am teaching 6 classes a day. Mr. Song Young -chul has been great. He picked me up at the airport as planned. The apartment is very good and he has been most accommodating to what ever I need. I really am enjoying it here and can highly recommend it to the next person. I will try and get your letter of recommendation to you in the next couple of days. I am between classes right now so have to go. Rest assured that all is well.
