Alternative schools are an emerging teaching job sector in Korea. The schools teach subjects, such as Math, Science and history, in English. Credits from the schools are recognized by Korean education system and schools in overseas. If you are a dedicated Christian, there are schools looking for Christians.

 

Location: Near Seoul and a rural area called Geyosan County.

Teaching subjects in English. You are not teaching conversational English at this school. You are teaching subjects based on your major such as mathematics, science, sociology etc.

International Christian School (KICS) is to encourage intellectual and spiritual growth with the youth people of God. We have elementary through 12th grade, and the curriculum we use is mainly Bob Jones based. The classes are taught 100% in English.

We are looking for teachers who can teach several of the following subjects at a variety of grade levels:
• Bible studies
• English Reading and Writing
• Mathematics
• History and Geography
• Science
• Computer
• Physical Education

 
Teacher requirements:
- Christian, firm in the faith with a deep heart for teaching ministry in a cross-cultural mission environment.
- English native speaker
- B.A or B.Sc. or undergraduate degree in a teachable subject appropriate for elementary, middle or high school.
- 1 year teaching commitment minimum.

(Salary & Benefits) 
 emoticon Monthly Payment: 2.1 ~ 2.4 million won or more (Depending on Teaching Experience, except meals) 
 emoticon 50/50 National Pension & Health Insurance: covered half by employer, 1/2 by the teacher

 emoticon Accommodation: Single accommodation with (furnishings) or live in student dormitory 
 emoticon School will arrange your E2 Visa documents. 
 emoticon Vacation: 2 weeks (10 working days) vacation and 3 days sick days. Third year teachers will get 20 working days.

 emoticon Working days a week: Mon – Friday

 emoticon Working schedule: Normal working hours are no more than 25 class hours per week. The normal workday while school is in session is from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.

 emoticon The normal workday during preplanning and post planning sessions is from 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.

 emoticon Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are provided at the school restaurant at nominal cost.

 emoticon Completion Bonus: one month salary.

 emoticon Medical Insurance provided: Group insurance (Medical insurance) is provided for all full-time employees. Coverage is also available for employees’ dependents (General health and dental treatments). Dependents’ coverage is paid for by the employee.
